A funny thing happened to me on the way to self-pity
Every dollar we raise goes a long way in helping the Parkinson's Foundation fulfill its mission of improving the lives of the one million Americans with Parkinson's.
Please support me in this fight by making a donation. Your generosity will help raise awareness, more funding and
more understanding of a disease that affects
so many of our family and friends.
ABOUT ME
Welcome to Mark In The Park 21!
I'm so glad you found me.
I created Mark In The Park 21 shortly after I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in February 2021. I was searching
for information online and I found an entire community.
I have also found great purpose in Parkinson's Awareness and Advocacy and public speaking. I have partnered with the Parkinson's Foundation, and I currently serve on the Parkinson's Foundation People with Parkinson's Advisory Council (PPAC), which serves as a guiding influence for the Parkinson's Foundation leadership for decision making.
I also serve as an Ambassador for the Parkinson's Foundation as well as serve on the Advisory Board for the
Southwest Chapter. I am the Co-Chair of the Southwest Chapter Mission and Outreach committee until June 2024,
when I will assume the role of Chairman for 2 years.
I can be heard on the podcasts I co-host, “Making It Meaningful – The Podcast” as well as
“Unscripted – The Parkinson’s Podcast”.
I have also been a guest on several other podcasts such as "The Two Mike’s Parkinson’s Podcast" (now the YOPN podcast}, “Parky For Parkinson’s” podcast, “Lessons from the Junk Drawer” as well as several others.
I have also done Instagram and TikTok Lives with professionals across the Parkinson's community. I created this space
as a sort of "home base" for the various projects I'm involved in and as a way to connect with me or
to book me for speaking engagements.
Thank you for visiting.
I'm really glad you're here.
